When the world is asleep and the night is lightless and dull are when my thoughts shine the brightest and I let my imagination take over me. Lying across my bed with my pillows surrounding me and my television keeping my room alive, I look up at my lofty ceiling and decide to leave my troubles here and let imagination take me to my place of pleasant comfort.
The warmth of the sun sat on my skin as I breathed in new life. I could feel the calmness of the air while the sun winked at me. Looking into the distance; I could see the waves crashing against rocks while singing the perfect melody. The atmosphere was patient and effortless and embraced my presence.
The sand was meek as my feet awkwardly drowned with every step I took. The smell of the salt water hit my lips as the warm breeze spoke to my body. I took my time as I admired this beautiful creation as though it was a picture. The ocean sparkled as the sun spoke kind words. I moved in a little closer to get a better hearing of the conversation.
The water whispered to my feet as the seagulls squawked overhead. Although I was alone, I did not feel so. Nature was talking to me in more ways than one. As I listened to water play its tune while the wind whistled to the rhythm, I could not help but notice the chemistry that the sun and water created.
Although the water and sun were completely different from one another they promoted a chemistry that could not be described with words, but only with the seeing of your eyes and the refreshed energy reflected on your spirit. Everything in sight collaborated so well without little to any effort. The sun, the water, the sand, and the atmosphere were created for me. I am Mother Nature’s daughter and she allows me to let my guard down and be myself.
I looked out ahead for one last time, and the sun and water grinned at me. I closed my eyes and let the tune of my pleasant comfort take me away as I tuned out the world. I smiled realizing I could come back anytime I wanted to, because I was not just walking on a beach; I’m walking on a dream.
[ps.] this was a descriptive essay for my English class [that is why it is long as shit] ... but after i wrote it ; i thought is was pretty cool... so i decided to share.
